ON SOCIALMEDIA:

Memberships and donations help support the show in two important respects: (1) technologically and (2) existentially. From an technological standpoint memberships help improve the overall quality of the show and allow us to make technical upgrades when necessary. We did not start out with the best equipment, and memberships have helped us finance better microphones as well as other technical upgrades that help us to improve the show in terms of both length and quality. These funds will also help cover the cost of maintaining our web domain. 

When it comes to how memberships/donations help the show existentially, it is not going to be able to exist without funds from members. To grow, the show must advertise. Furthermore, more time is needed to improve the overall quality of the show--but this detracts from the time I (Mike) could be spending at work, so I will need to be able to support myself to keep the show going and improve from a qualitative standpoint. Memberships will help to supplement my income particularly in times when our YouTube revenue is low due to a lack of interest in politics during non-election years.

Funds can also be used to galvanize viewers with giveaways (such as THR T-Shirts and mugs, etc.) although this is not a priority for the time being. You can also become a Patreon and help us that way, and this helps us the most, as Patreon takes a smaller percentage of donations than Paypal. So the best way to help is to donate, become a patron on Patreon or become a member through humanistreport.com.
